It was obvious that if people were allow to work from home, this kind of thing would happen and it would not only be by Council employees!

Happened to guy I know. He worked for a major bank and during Covid worked from home, he also started doing some accountancy work at the same time on the side. There is no law to say you can’t have two or more jobs but working your side hustle at the same time as your main hustle is gross misconduct and unlikely to end well.
